 All the locomotive kits shown were designed by me. This means that whilst improvements are continually being made they all exhibit a consistent level of detail and overall quality.  They are aimed at the average 'O' gauge modeller who wants a kit that is buildable and when completed accurately portrays the subject in question.  Although intended to be working models there is enough detail to satisfy most people who only want them only for display.  Attention is given to the fact that the models will be handled so adequate metal thickness is used throughout and any vulnerable fittings are cast in brass.  Emphasis is placed on detail that can be see when the model is on the track rather than that which can not although things such as brake gear are modelled in full unlike some far more expensive products.  Much importance is placed on the instructions which feature step by step text, each section can be completed and ticked off before moving on to the next.  The many diagrams start out with an exploded isometric view of the basic components and then build until they show the final fittings.
